DIY Kid’s Summer Beverage Stand

DIY Kid’s Summer Beverage Stand

*A special thanks to The Home Depot for sponsoring this post.*

We are so excited to be part of The Home Depot’s DIH Workshop Programs!

Today we are sharing our beverage stand that we introduced to you last week that will be part of their FREE DIH Workshop all around the country on June 16th!  The workshop is free, you are just responsible for purchasing your own supplies if you want to build one (which isn’t much at all!).  Space is limited so be sure to register if you want to build one of these darling beverage stands.  If you are unable to make this project at your local store, you’ll still walk away with all the skills to do it yourself!

The Home Depot offers Workshops at all of their locations for do-it-yourselfers of all ages and experience levels. There are three types of Workshops offered: Do-It-Yourself (DIY), Do-It-Herself (DIH) and Kids. You’ll learn how to build décor projects, how to make easy home repairs and how to operate tools through demonstrations and step-by-step instructions.

Don’t forget to reserve your spot before the workshop is full!

The summer heat has finally hit Utah and my kids are determined to spend as much time as possible outside!  When I saw the plans for this beverage stand from Home Depot, I knew I needed to make one…. or two, to help keep my kiddos cool this summer!

Doesn’t this just make you want to sit down and relax with a cold drink in your hand?!  Well, that’s exactly what I wanted to do!  My kids are constantly playing around our cul de sac with all of our neighbors so I needed a place where we could all cool down!  In just a few hours, I was able to put two of these tables together so easily!

Kids Drink Station

The stands are made to fit a 10 quart bucket, but with little hands reaching in, I needed larger buckets I could tilt forward so they could reach everything they needed!  I filled our beverage stands with all the essentials…..

Kids Cool Down Beverage Station

With this being a beverage stand, drinks were obviously included!  I filled one of the large buckets with ice to keep their favorite drinks cool.  The other bucket was filled with water balloons which seemed to attract more kids than the drinks!  My kids get sunburned and scraped up so easily when they are running around outside, so I was sure to have supplies on hand to deal with that.  I know how hungry my kids get when they are running around outside with friends, so snacks were a must!

And there you have it!

Our kids absolutely love having this beverage stand outside are always running home and bringing their friends to get a drink, snack and a couple of water balloons. 🙂

Don’t forget!  You can register HERE to make this beverage stand at your local Home Depot on June 16th!
